Illustration Friday: Eighties

[PREV] [ View Smaller Size ] [NEXT]
Illustration Friday: Eighties 80s.

To me, immediately and without a doubt, 80s meant the cartoons I saw on TV, and the toys I played with from those cartoons.

So in a huge buffet of the picture variety, I present to you a typical scene from the 80s:

A huge black leather sofa, a Ghostbusters Poster on the wall, nice striped wallpaper, chia pet, and one of those upside down, black pole lamps.

In this room we have He-Man and Astroboy plugging away at the Nintendo while Toad from Mario Bros and Teddy Ruxpin have a Pepsi and Pizza. Skeleton is complaining he never gets a turn from the Master of the Universe. Miscellaneous Smurf #87 boardly watches them tussle.

Speaking of tussling, Garfield has a bad feeling about what he hears outside and that's because the Transformers Autobot Optimus Prime and Decepticon Megatron are tussling, and Scooby Doo, My Pet Monster, Snake Eyes from GI Joe and two Lego people have taken notice.

Even though the Lego people are smiling, they're actually screaming 'RUN FOR YOUR LIVES' but they only ever smile.

This was an awesome challenge, and really fun to do.
