A picture drawn while at Ozzfest in Vancouver.
Perhaps one of the reasons I'm now vegan, is my deep-rooted subconscious belief that Ice-Cream isn't all that it's cracked up to be, and is in fact, something quite deadly and malicious! Here is the proof!
NEVER eat ice cream while at Ozzfest!

While playing a game, I thought to myself, 'Hey, none of these monsters are anything special, they're not even very original or scary.' So I set out to achieve two things:
(a) Design a really scary & original monster.
(b) Prove, without a doubt, the mucho nerdiness I'm capable of.
I can sit back, relax and smile. Mission Accomplished.

.... It is a horned skull, but I don't know who Elliot is.
Could be a good tattoo...
Maybe it's Elliot's tattoo?

Lighting, form and Monsterous Distortion were a frequent subject matter in the summer of 1998 after reading a bunch of Mike Mignola comics, some Grendel series, and a slew of comics purchased for about 25 cents so I could 'study' the art.

This was a concept drawing for a monster / creature that was to be in a film I was working on. In the film, the monster was going to be referred to as 'Madness' and it was crucial for me to capture the gnarly, scary, toothy, barely humanoid standard fare, with an expression of absolutely no cognitive ability.
To make this monster as scary as it could be, I wanted it to convey lots of power, deadliness, and no sign of thought. Just pursuit & reaction.

This monster is made up out of body parts of other humanoid things.
Instead of just drawing a humanoid figure and having body parts stick out of it randomly, I wanted to try and plan it so the body parts made sensible, moving joints.
This was another concept idea for a movie.
