Well, it's been probably half a decade since I've drawn one of those silent, drippy and deadly creatures from the 'Alien' movie series.
Here is the scan of the pencil outline. This was one of those lucky drawings that comes together as you draw it, with every element seemingly to fall into place.
I wanted the picture to have a feeling of being a split second clip of action, like a DVD on pause before the poor guy get's nabbed.
Here's hoping it turns out that way in the end.

Now comes the part where the picture gets an outlining in think ink lines.
I made the tail longer and more dangly, repositioned the hands, and streamlined the head of the Alien a little more.
As far as considering the texture of the body, I came to the conclusion that these Aliens must have lot's of tightly woven, sinewy, exo-skeletal muscles.
So I'm going to try and give the Alien a texture much like an organic zipper.

So here's the final Inking layer. I've erased the pencil guides, and covered nearly every square millimeter with texturizing scribbles.
When texturizing with scribbles, it's always important to remember where your light source is, because all the scribbles have to follow the same sort of 'flow' when it comes to hatching and cross hatching.
