The other day as I was on my lunch break, I walked past a seagull walking in traffic, dragging it's wing. After a few minutes of contemplation, I decided to get a box from work, and trap the little guy and get the SPCA to pick him up before he ended up with more than a wing broken.
So, much to my surprise, he was a fiesty little guy, and I had to chase him through an intersection, and only caught him when I did a 500 foot spring as quickly as I could!
In the end, I took a stinky box full of seagull up to Victoria's General Pet Hospital by the Mayfair mall, and he was turned over to WildArc.

Because I walk or ride the bus everywhere, when I do get a car ride, I could say I get excited.
However, for the last 10 odd minutes of this ride, the kid in the backseat was threatening to throw up. I say threatening, because my gut tells me he wanted the attention that the road was getting from his mom.
Please note, I made the effort to draw in seatbelts, lest it appear that I'm reckless when it comes to automobiles.

Maximisim my penchant for robot drawing, animals, fussy shading and a knack for drawing anytime, anywhere, I did this drawing waiting to start my 4 hour "security shift" where I watch out of shoplifters and other ne'erdowells.

This guy 'delivers newspapers for a living'
He's in an all-night convenience store.
This is a character idea for a stop-motion short film idea where a few unlucky people in an all-nighter get taken hostage by people trying to break into a money-mart next door.
In this pic, I wanted to convey the harsh, cold, gritty fluorescent lights of a convenience store, and I think I pulled it off.

I'm quite proud of how this turned out. I took one iconic design ( Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, and used it as the basis for Alan Moore's iconic Rorschach Character.
The text and smaller images surrounding Rorschach are all related to the comic. The text being the police report included at the end of one of the issues.

A steam-punk inspired Mecha sketch. Texturized and colored in with Macromedia Fireworks from way back in 2001 with layer effects and stock images.
Personally, with no training and being familiar with Fireworks from doing only websites, I'm quite pleased with what I managed to create.

I haven't done digital coloring for a picture in about 5 years, but I like the results and the best part is - it was fun.
Maybe the Hulk could have been dirtier....

This image was done as a Christmas gift for a friend in 2006.
She liked the band Metric and a few months previous a bunch of us at work were talking about the toys we had growing up, so this is what I came up with: A metric concert infested with toys from the 1980s.
For those that are completionists, a list of the toys is as follows:
GI Joe - Cobra Commander
Teddy Ruxpin - Bounder
The Muppets - Kermit the Frog
Teddy Ruxpin - Himself
The Lego Kids
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Transformers - Optimus Prime
Thundercats - Lion-O (I admit, he didn't turn out right. I got the hair wrong. It's always the damned hair!)
And, making a very special appearance, Inappropriate Jesus.
