For the last 10 years if I figure correctly, Dark Horse comics has had the same 'Ghost' script for you to illustrate and submit to them for a job.
I'd love to see all the different takes on the exact same script. They Submission Editors at Dark Horse must have seen thousands of variations on the same thing, no doubt some insane and others eerieely similar.
I didn't take this page seriously, it was practice and I wasn't planning on submitting it. Here is a page of my pencils thave have been roughly inked with some blacks spotted.

Totally abstracted, unspecific mechanical reason, pipes, tubes, spines, skulls, claws, you name it - you got it.
All hanging around in some area for some evil purpose.
Stuff that Nightmares are made of. ;)
A long time ago, I did a series of these huge 11"x17" drawings of mechanical animalistic beasts, all very scribbly and detailed with tubes and gyros.
Just yesterday I was drawing in my small 3"x5" sketchbook and remembered those pics.
I picked the Lion because I had just finished reading "Pride of Baghdad" written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Niko Henrichon, released by DC Comics's Vertigo imprint.
Recommended by my Brother, it's a very good read!

Back, around the turn of the century. 6 months or so into the first 2000's year.
A friend of mine who liked Earwig Art , had a birthday, and so here are two ideas I was working on for the earwig picture.

For a present, this was another idea I had for that a friend who asked for Earwig pictures.
I wish I could remember why, because the earwig had a real important symbolism for him.
I didn't use this idea for the present.

This is the character named 'L'
As you can see by the eyes and posture, not a very strong willed person, at least that's what I hope to achieve.
No idea what the L stands for.
Another character for my 'Empty Threat' graphic novel.
No full name yet, but loosely based on a girl I dated for a bit - the professionals say 'Write what you know' so there you go.
I bet I'm not the only artist that can see a trend towards shifts and / or particulars considering subject matter and the type of person they're dating at the time.
While back I bought a sketchbook and decided to fill it with a story to illustrate. Kind of a practice or lession in discipline.
Thought for a bit and started on it, here's some ideas for the main character named P.
Hopefully I'll finish it by summer, now that I'm getting back into a more regular routine of drawing.
