Being a fan of Calvin and Hobbes (and mischief in general) building weird off-beat snow is par for the course at winter time.
Adding the pics right now, it occurs to me that these pictures would make a cool t-shirt series - everyone can dig offbeat, weird snow-things!
Architecture, lot's of small scribbles and expanses of negative space are a few of my 'things'. Style? Penchants? Stuff I'm known for?
Either way, it's a fun way to fill a page and kill an afternoon.
Don't mean to diss my art, but there are stages where all I did was go through the shopping list of requirements: Wings, Boobs, Gears, Pose.
It was good practice and I came up with some cool stuff I still like to this day, but it's my point of view I'm more surprised at, how head down I was with a little peek at the big pictures.
Wonder if she would have had clothing if I had finished it?
What surprises me is that I handed this in as an OAC art sketch, with it being nowhere near done!
The second Santa at gunpoint picture I found, though I believe it was the first drawn.
Sometimes, I seriously wonder about my subject matter.
One time I went snooping for presents as a kid and found a Super-Nintendo under my parent's bed.
I had the gall to even open up the package -taking a deep breath of that new plastic and styrofoam smell- and considered hooking it up and playing some before hiding it again.
I didn't, but I told a friend at school what I had found.
The bastard told my Mom.
If it weren't for the fact it was for my brother and I, I might not have gotten it.
I probably had just finished reading a Marvel Comics Xmas special where the punisher dresses up like Santa and thusly inspired - drew.
Now that I think about it, the Punisher dresses up like Santa EVERY Xmas.
So does Batman and Superman! They always find a reason to dress like Saint Nick. ... Interesting....
